What do you text the family about reunion shirts?
Send a heads-up when you decide on shirts, the order link with a clear order-by date when it’s ready, then two reminders — a week before the deadline and the day before. Tell everyone they pick their own size and color, and ask them to reply “ordered.”

Tips
Getting everyone to actually order
- Put the order-by date in every message — a date gets action, “soon” doesn’t.
- Pin the order-link message in the group chat so late joiners can find it.
- Ask people to reply “ordered.” It shows you who’s done, and it nudges everyone else.
- For 50+ people, let one captain per branch send the reminders to their side.
- Call the grandparents. Offer to order for anyone who doesn’t shop online.
Messaging questions
What should a family reunion shirt message say?
Keep it short: what the shirt is for, the link, the order-by date, and a reminder that each person picks their own size and color. Ask people to reply “ordered” so you know who’s done.
How many reminders should I send?
Two is usually enough: one a week before the order-by date and a last call the day before. Big families can add a reminder from each branch captain.
What about relatives who aren’t in the group chat?
Send the same message by email or text them one-on-one. For relatives who don’t shop online, offer to order for them — anyone can buy several shirts in one order and ship them to different addresses.
Can I edit the messages?
