How to order family reunion shirts

Everything the reunion organizer needs: when to start, how much shirts cost, and how to get 20 — or 200 — relatives into matching shirts without collecting a single size or dollar.

What is the easiest way to order family reunion shirts?

Have one design made, put it where everyone can order online, and share a single link. Each relative picks their own size, pays for their own shirt and has it shipped to their door — no order form, no bulk box, no collecting money. Start about 3–4 weeks before the reunion.

Three ways to order

Bulk order, group order page or one Amazon link?

There are three common ways to get a family into matching shirts. Each one fits a different family — here’s how they work and where each one gets hard.

  • Bulk order

You collect sizes (and usually money), place one order with a print shop, then hand out or mail the shirts.

Works well for: Small families who meet in one place, a grandparent paying for everyone, or special printing like embroidery.

Watch out for: Chasing sizes and payments, guessing for non-responders, and distributing a box of shirts.

  • Group order page

A printer gives you an online page. Each person picks a size and pays there; the order is printed when the page closes.

Works well for: Families who want individual payments but a specific shirt brand, printing method or one combined delivery.

Watch out for: Deadlines and minimums set by the provider, shipping to one place unless you pay extra, and no late orders.

  • One Amazon link

We design the shirt, you approve it, and we list it on Amazon. Each person orders their own size and color from one link.

Works well for: Big or spread-out families, late RSVPs, and organizers who don’t want to handle money or shipping.

Watch out for: Relatives need an Amazon account (or someone orders for them), there’s no group discount, and the listing is public.

Which one should you choose?

If a small family meets in one place and someone is happy to pay for everyone, a bulk order is simple. If you want everyone to pay separately but need a particular shirt or one delivery, a group order page works. If your family is big, spread across states or bad at answering the group chat, one Amazon link is the least work for the organizer — that’s the model we use.

Step by step

How to order family reunion shirts in 10 steps

  1. Pick the date and guess the headcount

A rough number is fine. It tells you how long to allow for ordering and how much of a reminder plan you need.

  2. Choose the design idea

Family name, the year and the place, plus one personal touch — a family tree, “Est.” with the year it began, or a saying.

  3. Choose the shirt color

One color for everybody, or a different color for each branch of the family.

  4. Request your custom design

Send your details through our request form. We design the shirt and email you a preview within 12 hours.

  5. Approve it (check every name and date)

Look closely at spelling, dates and the city. Ask for changes until it feels right.

  6. Get your Amazon link

Once approved, we list the shirt on Amazon with every available color and send you the link within 24–48 hours.

  7. Announce it everywhere

Post the link in the family group chat and Facebook group, email it, and add a QR code to the invitation.

  8. Set an “order by” date

One to two weeks before the reunion, so shirts arrive in time — even for relatives far away.

  9. Send two reminders

One a week before the order-by date and one the day before. Ask people to reply “ordered!”.

  10. Help the relatives who don’t shop online

Anyone can order several shirts in one order and have them shipped to Grandma’s house.

Order forms

Do you need a family reunion shirt order form?

The classic way is an order form — on paper, in a spreadsheet or a Google Form — where every relative writes their size and sends money. It works, but someone has to chase the missing answers and payments.

With one Amazon link, you can skip the form: each person enters their own size and address at checkout. If you still go with a bulk order, make sure your form collects:

  • Name
  • Shirt size (adult or youth)
  • Shirt color
  • How many shirts
  • Paid? (yes / no)
  • Where to deliver

Ordering questions

How far in advance should you order family reunion shirts?

Request your design about 3–4 weeks before the reunion — a little earlier for very large families or holiday weekends. The design arrives within 12 hours and the link within 24–48 hours of approval, so most of that time is for everyone to order and receive their shirt.

Where can I get family reunion shirts?

You can use a local print shop, an online custom T-shirt printer, or a print-on-demand service where each relative orders their own. With us, you get a free custom design and your family orders on Amazon, so nobody has to collect sizes or money.

Is there a minimum order for family reunion shirts?

Many print shops have minimums for bulk orders. With a print-on-demand listing there is no minimum: each shirt is printed when it is ordered, so 5 relatives or 150 can all use the same link.

How much do family reunion shirts cost?

It depends on the shirt style, quantity and printing method. With our Amazon listings each person pays the listing price — standard tees start at $13.99, and the custom design is free.

Do I still need a family reunion shirt order form?

Not if everyone orders from one link — each person enters their own size and address at checkout. If you do a bulk order instead, your form should collect name, size, color, quantity, payment status and delivery details.

What if some relatives do not have an Amazon account?

Someone else can order for them and ship the shirt to their address or to the reunion organizer. Anyone can order several shirts in one order.
